Lucy has been trying to say “hi” for the past two months…(or at least it certainly seems like she has) Last night we finally captured it!
Lu got to watch her first episode of “I Love Lucy”…it was a hit.
Lucy and her little bestie James went on a date at the Pumpkin patch yesterday!
Why so serious?
Let’s just say, James definitely was working his camera-charming pumpkin magic…
Lucy was mostly interested in her toes….
Or the pumpkin…
(The best attempt)
This picture cracks me up, and pretty much sums up the afternoon. One happy pumpkin…and one grumpy turkey. 🙂
Love you, Lucy June!

Our trip to Yosemite earlier this summer didn’t quite work. (forest fires don’t mix well with babies) – and with the government shutdown, we ALMOST didn’t make our second attempt! But, the park opened up just in time for us … Continue reading
This post will have a TON of pictures…but it’s only appropriate, since we had a TON of fun during our three-day weekend escape to Yosemite! The weather was beautiful, the fall-colors were gorgeous, and the weekend was perfect.
We stayed at the Wawona Hotel. (a cute 100+ year old hotel in the park)
There was no cell-service, no television, and no computers…it felt like a step back in time! We’d spend our evenings watching the fire, and listening to the piano in the hotel lobby. (Lucy had never seen a fire before, and was totally mesmorized for hours…)
The views were spectacular!
Enjoying nature from her carseat…
Looking cool in her sunnies!
What’s even better than a great view? (Dad’s beard)
Lucy is probably wondering why we’re making her walk on the pebbles. (but we’ve gotta toughen that girl up!) 🙂
All the fall colors were beautiful!
We hiked to Sentinal Dome, for 360 degree views of the valley. It was breathtaking!
Lucy is jazzed about Half Dome.
(I’m pretty sure Lucy is wondering why Half-Dome looks so small…why all the fuss?)
Climbing on the famous Ansel Adams tree!
Hikes wear a girl out!
Ladies in vests.
We had the river all to ourselves!
We ended the day at the Ahwanee hotel, with dinner and drinks on the back lawn!
(Dad’s beard is still the best part of Yosemite…)
On our last day, we hiked through the giant redwood forest…
(Lucy couldn’t stop staring at the trees…even through the sunroof!) 🙂
A perfect trip. So blessed!
(took a little while to upload…but here’s Lucy swinging for the first time!)
